 Lars Melander
Jag gick på Konstfack i slutet av 50-talet och början av 60-talet. 1962 reste jag som stipendiat till USA för första gången,till Hallmark Cards i Kansas City.
Tillbaka till Stockholm som Art Director. Efter ett par år tillbaka till NYC där jag jobbade som Graphic Designer. Efter det Stockholm och senare San Francisco som illustratör. Det blev en rad olika uppdrag som resulterade i många utmärkelser.
1980 flyttade jag tillbaks till Sverige och Stockholm. Sen dess har det blivit många utställningar i Sverige och Europa.Dessutom har jag gjort en barnbok,frimärken, scenografi för TV och mycket annat. Illustrerat böcker.
2004 kom det ut en bok om mitt liv och konst skriven av Gösta Arvidsson på Carlssons Förlag.

I studied at The National College of Art and Design in Stockholm.
In 1962, I recieved a scholarship from the Hallmark Cards company in Kansas City--where I worked for two years. Then, I took on one year to experience the great New York CIty and the position of a graphic designer.
Back in Sweden, my title became "Art Director".
In 1974, I went back to the US and spent five
successful years as an artist and illustrator with my own
exhibitions in San Francisco, CA
